Meet Our Safeguarding Team

Keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do at Co-op Academy Brierley.

Our safeguarding team is here for every child, every family, and every member of staff — and that commitment extends to everyone who comes through our doors, including visitors and volunteers.

If any member of staff has a concern about a child, they will act on it straight away. We are committed to always acting in the best interests of that child, and always pass any concerns to the safeguarding team immediately.

You don't need to have all the answers before you come to us. If something doesn't feel right, please reach out. We'd always rather hear from you.

Every member of staff at Co-op Academy Brierley receives regular safeguarding training and knows exactly what to do if they are worried about a child. Any member of staff can be approached with a concern.

What should I do if I have a concern about a member of staff?

If you have a concern or a concern is raised that involves a member of staff, please report it directly to our Headteacher, Sarah Harridge, rather than to the safeguarding team. You can contact Sarah through the main school office.
