A new group for parents and carers — starting this June

We're starting something new this summer, and we think a lot of our families are going to love it!

Our Story Sacks group gets underway on Wednesday 3rd June, running every week for four weeks from 9:30am to 11:30am here at Co-op Academy Brierley. Spaces are limited — so if it sounds like something you'd enjoy, get in touch with Christie soon.

What's a story sack?

10 story sack ideas | story sack, book baskets, activities for kidsA story sack is a bag filled with handmade props, characters, and activities all built around one book — your child's favourite story. In these sessions, you'll make your very own from scratch, with everything you need provided. The idea is simple: take something your child already loves, and make reading it together even more fun.

It's a hands-on, creative couple of hours — and you'll go home with something genuinely useful for your family.

A space for parents and carers

These sessions are just for adults — your children will be in school as normal while you're with us. That means a proper chance to sit down, get creative, meet other parents and carers, and take a bit of time that's just for you.

If enough families come along, we'd love to run the group again — so your interest really does make a difference.
